The EACA Euro Effies Awards Jury Chairman

Georges-Edouard Dias – former Chief Digital Officer at L'Oreal

Georges-Edouard Dias

Until recently, Georges-Edouard Dias was heading L'Oreal's Digital Strategy & Business, a position which he held since 2001. With his team, he drove L'Oréal's shift into the digital age which included transformation of communication, sales operations and management processes for every L'Oreal division worldwide: from concluding partnerships with leading global digital players such as Apple, Facebook, Google anf Microsoft to rethinking the role of direct communication and customer interaction in the marketing mix, thanks to an integrated CRM & media approach. Georges-Edouard was previously VP of Interactive Development at L'Oreal USA where he defined the company's policy related to digital commerce and launched the first selling sites in L'Oreal's history.

His interactive career commenced when he was promoted Project Manager in charge of launching L'Oreal's corporate website in 1997, an important change from his previous positions in the group which were mostly marketing focused. After graduating from HEC in France in 1983, he started out as a Product Manager at Garnier International, later joining L'Oreal, becoming VP of Marketing at Vichy International before he moved to Corporate.

Georges-Edouard's future plan is to work on an entrepreneurial venture, presumably in the digital marketing and media space.

Arvid Boström
Managing Director at MEC – Germany
